Second-hand September is a fantastic initiative by Oxfam, encouraging shoppers to buy preloved for the month of September.
We always encourage clients to consider preloved when adding pieces to their wardrobe. It's easy to do with so many stylish choices in Berkshire and surrounding areas - and many offer online shopping too.

1. Preloved Print based in Berkshire, sell a beautifully curated edit of preloved dresses and tops with an emphasis on stunning prints and bright colours. Here's my top 3 from Rachel's current collection - it was hard to narrow it down!

Wear Ltd is a luxury ladies clothing and accessories reseller who run fashion pop up events in Surrey - their next one is slated for November and you can be sure to bag a gorgeous preloved designer piece at a fab price. Keep an eye on their Instagram page as date and venue for the next pop-up will be dropping soon!
Flamingo's Reading is the latest vintage store addition to Reading Town centre and my eldest teen confirms this is a great spot for some vintage shopping. He grabbed himself a super cool preloved Nike sweater that I can't prize off him. Plan to steal it off him when he's not looking...
Instyle Ascot is run by friends Izzy and Niamh. They offer a preloved selling service if you're clearing out your wardrobe (or get in touch if you'd like Happynested to help!) and an online boutique.
They're also planning to host more pop up sales events after the success of their recent one in Sunningdale so keep an eye on their Insta page for news.
Secondhand September is not just for the grown ups! Founded by local mum Jill, Little Threads is a pre-loved children’s clothing business that finds high-quality outgrown children’s clothes a new home, with hand-picked selection boxes tailored to your child's needs.
Little Threads will also be at the Fashion, Fizz & Fill-Ups event at The Mad Hatters Café, Tilehurst on the 28th September. Grab a glass of fizz and enjoy a fun evening of pre-loved ladies and kids' fashion and sustainable re-fills. Tickets are free but limited – you can book yours here
